Thank You Kobe

The passing of Kobe Bryant and his daughter (and 7 others) on January 26th, 2020, in a helicopter crash remains heavy on my heart.

One of my all time favorite players, I felt as if I knew him personally.

So many things he did, said, expressions, thoughts, and mentalities I’ve related to for the past 23 years: watching him play ball, reading about him, studying him.

Seeing the love for his family – his wife and daughters – inspire me to continue to Love, to share experiences, to make others better.

He took his Love, Determination, and Perseverance for the game of basketball and applied it to all the other areas of his life off the court.

I respected and admired everything I knew about him. His drive. His work ethic. His passion.

His desire to be the absolute best fuels me daily.

The tears I’ve shed for him and his family have absorbed back into my body and mindset as I will remember all he stood for in my life and continue to pay forward the qualities and characteristics he amplified in my thoughts, actions, and desires to be my absolute BEST.

We have 24 hours today to put forth our best self. To do our best for others. To create the impact/imprint we want to leave on today.

I’m choosing to engage those 24 hours with the Mamba Mentality he shared with all of us.

Thank you Kobe Dean Bryant for being my Coach from afar, my inspiration, and the added fuel to the fire within me.

Even tho our physical beings may have never met, our spiritual energies are connected and aligned forever.

Mamba Out.
